Yojra is committed to protecting the information corporates trust us with. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it and how we keep it safe, in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
Information we collect
We collect account details such as names, work email addresses, phone numbers and roles of the people who use Yojra, along with company details like GSTIN, billing addresses and site locations.
To automate electricity bills, we also collect consumer numbers, DISCOM account details, bill amounts, due dates, meter readings, consumption, contract demand and power factor data from the electricity boards you connect.
How we use your data
We use your data to fetch and pay bills on time, apply your approval rules, reconcile payments, generate consumption and savings insights, prepare CO₂ and BRSR reports and provide customer support.

Payments and financial information
Bill payments are processed through Yojra's PCI DSS compliant payment gateway and confirmed via BBPS. Yojra does not store full card numbers or net banking credentials. Payment instructions are encrypted and every transaction is logged in an audit trail.
Sharing with third parties
We share data only with electricity boards to fetch and settle bills, with payment partners to process payments, and with vetted service providers who host and secure our platform under strict confidentiality agreements.
Data storage and security
Your data is stored on servers located in India, encrypted in transit and at rest, and protected by role-based access, multi-factor authentication and regular security audits.
Data retention
We retain bill, payment and consumption records for as long as your account is active and as required by Indian tax and audit laws, typically up to eight years, after which they are securely deleted.
Your rights
You may access, correct or request deletion of your personal data, withdraw consent and nominate a representative, subject to legal obligations. Raise a request with our Grievance Officer through the contact page.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as our services or the law change. We will notify account administrators of material changes and post the updated policy here with its effective date.
